Marta Sicurella  - b. 1978, Parma (Italy)

Graduate in Languages and Modern Literature at the University of Milan (Italy), she completed in 2004 the "Curso Avançado de Fotografia in Ar.Co. (Centro de Arte e Comunicaçao Visual)" in Lisbon; during 2005 she had a residency at the École Nationale Superieure de la Photographie in Arles (France). During 2008 she attended the Photography course in the Programa Criatividade e Criação Artística of the Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian in Lisbon.

In 2001 she won the first prize award in the "Viver (n)a Facultade" de Universitade Nova de Lisboa.
In 2004 she won the award "Pedro Miguel Frade do Centro de Português de Fotografia" with the work Guincho
In 2005 she was selected for the "XII Biennal of the Young Artists of the Mediterranean", Naples (Italy).

She collaborates with a number of portuguese galleries and she is represented in a number of public and private collections (Banco Espirito Santo, Fundaçao PLMJ)

Currently she lives and works in Lisbon.
